Just back from 5 days in Yellowknife. Had some dancing auroras on three evenings, but the temperatures were around -45C with the windchill. Didn’t spend more than 5 or 10 minutes at a time outside then came back in to warm up.

Test run downtown shooting at 35mm only (to see if I would be happy taking along only one 35 mm fixed lens on trip). Conclusion: Not happy
