2026-03-17 Reflections

With all the melting going on and puddles everywhere (Spring is around the corner – March 20 is the official start), I thought reflections would be a good subject for our two week challenge. If you can’t find a puddle, any type of reflection is OK.

Reflections along the boards and a reflection in the ice from the skaters help frame the action.

I’ve never noticed the ice was so shiny! Great action and good positioning to capture the viewers

Beautiful reflection della. I love the floating pieces of ice giving a sense of perspective and depth.

Enjoyed a quick walk around Inglewood. Not too many birds yet and there is still ice on the water. This goose was just standing there blending in to the reflections. Settings: AP, FL300, F6.3, S 1/250, ISO 250, WB Auto, Spot Metering.

Saw this reflection while I was making lunch, the bachsplash in the kitchen.

Early on in the week before the snow, reasonable weather saw this sort of reflection on an old boat. It has fins like an old 58 plymouth. I call it “I am watching you.”

This maybe a stretch for spring reflections! I was trying out my new 400 lens on my evening walk and found this suspended snow and ice on some bent grass. There may be a reflection if you look closely. This was F7.1, 1/1250 (there was bit of wind) and ISO 400.

Which do you like better, color or black and white?
