Ron and I went out to check out the KOAC Kiyooka Ohe Arts Centre sculpture garden. We think this is a great opportunity to practice photographing sculptures form different perspectives. I am planning to be out there for the afternoon of Tuesday May 19. This is a come as you please field trip. The native grassland area is open to the public while the forested area is private. I will try to arrange for a private tour for myself and anyone that would like to join me. The cost is $25 per person. Otherwise the self guided tour is free. I liked this sculpture very much.
I thought that the blocks mimicked the mountains. I took out the fence and cropped the picture tighter. Shot with F10, S 1/1600, ISO 1000, Auto WB, Focal Length 122mm.

Spirit sculpture by Katie Ohe just beyond her private garden. Love how it blends into the forest.
I really like this sculpture for its symmetry. A miniature would look great on a coffee table. In post processing I used the levels tool to darken the frame holding the swirl while keeping the contrast on the swirl itself bright. Unfortunately the background is somewhat distracting.
