Rose detail, from the Silver Springs Botanical Gardens. 1/640 sec, f/5, ISO 200. I really liked the bright red colours of this slightly backlit flowerhead and the contrast with the dark shadows. Taken with my 70 – 200mm Zoom. Then enhanced in Photoshop by painting over a few overexposed petal edges with sampled colours at 60% opacity.

these two were taken in our yard in 2015 I darkened the first one and on the second in the new ps 2024 the basket ended close to the top and I thought it needed more substance so I added more with content aware.

From my volunteer shift on the photography crew at the Folk Festival this past weekend. 1/200s, f2.5, ISO 1600. I used a 35mm f1.2 lens on my camera. This picture is cropped in about 50 percent. Edited entirely in LR.

The Peruvian Inca Orchid comes in a variety of skin colours, including pink. This photo highlights the only two places it grows hair – on its tail and the top of its head.
