For me, one of the more difficult aspects of photography is portrait photography, especially when it involves street photography where you have to ask permission. Heritage Park offers an excellent opportunity for this type of photography with willing subjects in period costume often eager to oblige photographers.
The visit at the Heritage Park Fort was well worth it. Beautiful lighting and rich texture, great for portrait photography. Denoised in lightroom classic, then turned to B&W and enhanced with colour channel filters. Minor flaws cloned out in photoshop 2024. f/2.5, 1/160 sec, ISO 5000.
Here is the colour version
At the blacksmith shop I tried to get a portrait showing action. 1/50 sec, f/2.5, ISO 500. Not sure if B&W brings out more drama in this case.
Here is the colour version.
Excellent amount of blurring to show action. I think the red hot colour is important to the story here.

Needle work artisan. I love the lighting and the composition of this image with the diagonal from the eyes towards the hands and the needlework. 1/100 sec, f/2.8, ISO 500.
Same image but with distracting strong colours altered and toned down.
