The Masters Show Jumping competition will be held at Spruce Meadows from Wednesday September 6 to Sunday September 10. This is a great opportunity to photograph horses in action as well as the associated activities such as marching band performances, blacksmith competitions etc.
On Thursday September 7 admission is free for seniors 65+ so I have set this field trip on this day. However if you prefer to go on another day you can contribute photos to this page any time after Sept 6.
There are no categories, so anything goes. Have fun taking pictures.

Having fun with photoshop. I really liked this sculpture of a “flying” horse. Used subject selection and removed the statue supports with the cloning tool and the eraser, then copied on a blank photo and used the gradient tool.
Thank you to the horse and thank you to the audience! I loved this tribute at the end. , The horse and rider are a complete unit and it was wonderful watching them work together the way they did. It was a great day. Thank you to Henri for getting us there.

Dim arena lighting. Six-year-old members of Diamond Willow Vaulting demonstrated their acrobatics at a trot while the adults mostly performed at a canter. Dressage demo was before that. I went on the Wednesday because I was busy Thursday.
ISO 1600, 128 mm, f/6.3, 1/160 sec
Technically poor panning shot but I like the feeling. Demonstration in the arena at Spruce Meadows. 1/20th of a second was pushing it! Dim arena. Dressage is so pretty to watch.
