Autumn has officially started and I heard reports that the larches have already changed colour in the mountains. I thought this would be a nice opportunity to photograph colour in nature. However, anything colour with a Fall theme is fine.

Storm Water Pond – North Glenmore Park – Taken with smartphone panorama app. A bit of saturation added in Photoshop
I was out for a bike ride from Banff to Johnson Canyon along Hwy 1A. The highway is closed to cars along this stretch for the month of September. Lots of yellow and gold colours. I really like the bands of yellow along the ridges of the mountains.
Taken with my Pixel 8.

Cropped to 16×9 and increased saturation using Microsoft Photo Gallery.
Beautiful landscape shot Fred.
Out biking yesterday on the connecting trail between Blackfalds and Lacombe. The colors did not disappoint. Loved the layers of color at the south end of Lacombe Lake. However, the first picture I took fell flat (second image), so I played around with a different perspective, and I like the framed version much better. This was with my cell F1.8, 1/3200 second and it only was cropped.
My first image – lots of color but missing something.
Debbie, I really like how the fence frames the colours in the field.
I like the “framed” image better. Also the angle gives perspective. Good depth of field control.
I love the colours mixed with blue at this time of year. Inglewood is looking pretty good. A mixture of movement here. Settings: F 7.1, S 1/800, ISO 640, FL 58mm, Auto WB, Matrix Metering.
Nice landscape Karen. I did not know there were “rapids” in the Inglewood creek.
Here is a collection of leaves I picked from miscellaneous bushes along our walking path to the springs in waterfall valley. (today) Taken with my macro lens then manipulated in Lightroom with texture, clarity and saturation sliders.
Nice collage Henri.

I went to the Heritage Park marina to see the view from the top of the hill by the Heritage Park fence. I was rewarded with a bunch of school kids having a sailing lesson near the other boat launch at the sailing club.
