    Lead guitarist Zac Sokolow from the group La Lom at the Calgary Folk Music Festival. As a volunteer photographer, my media pass gets me right between the band and the crowd.

    Audience member at the Calgary Folk Music Festival. I was trying for a fuller face beneath the extended arm from the girl in front of looking back, but that shot never came. This was as close as I got.

    Another slow shutter speed experiment. (Previously I posted a horse jumping at Spruce Meadows.) We were in Paris in April during one of the world’s largest marathons with 50,000 participants running by our hotel, so I had lots of time to try different shots.
