Thank you Henri for suggesting the Tour de France outing to capture sports photography. Diana and I covered the Road Race, NW of Cochrane on Saturday and took many, many burst photos from varying locations. MY images were all on my Fuji XT05 with a F2.8 55-140mm lens . Focal length and apertures varied depending upon Handheld and Tripod shots. position, but most wer with auto ISO due to varying angles of light.
Now the images I have selected to share.

Tried out my new Fuji Instax mini Evo camera intended for street photography polaroids. Something to give out as a thank you for subjects posing for the “Big Camera”. We met this lovely couple of CALL Photography Enthusiasts ( Joe and Diana ) who graciously allowed me to photograph them. I am pleased with the result. Although it took some doing to get it off the camera into my smartphone and then into the computer. I had to run it through Topaz Gigapixel to get a decent size. Have to experiment more to get the process of getting the images out of the camera down.
Who are those oldies let loose at a cycling event?
Another – Street Photography – picture. This competitor was in pain after what seemed like a strained muscle. I asked for permission and used both my Fuji Instax “Polaroid” and my Canon R5. This image was more difficult because of the sun striking just the face of the race competitor causing a huge contrast difference. Used the “highlights” slider to the max to get more detail on the sunlit areas and the used the burn tool in Photoshop as well.
Hot pursuit. I was surprised how difficult it was to get ICM images on this bright and sunny morning. To get the 1/20 sec shutter speed I had to use an aperture of f/22 and the minimum ISO of 100. Even at that it was a bit over exposed for which I had to compensate with Photoshop.
I like this blurry composition conveying movement, tilt, speed and power. It was taken into the sun giving a somewhat strong body outline. 1/15 sec, f/22, ISO 100.
Frame within a frame. I liked the colours.
I liked the fluorescent lettering on this bike wheel. Emphasized it even more using the “Vivid” filter in Apple Photos
