Lovely panoramic shot Della. It gives a real sense of motion while the busy background is softened so the attention really focuses on the string of horses.
Action at the Blacksmith competition at Spruce Meadows. f/8, 1/6 sec, ISO 320 with ND-8 Neutral Density Filter (3 stops). I tried to catch the blur of the striking hammer. I also like the white hot metal horse shoe causing the reflection glow in the face and striking hand. De-saturated a distracting red shirt.

This was from a Canon Creator Lab event in one of the hangars at the Calgary Airport. We had a Lear Jet, a vintage Porsche, a modern Porsche and some models who posed for the people there. This was my favourite. (2025-09-06)

I was out for a drive west of Springbank on Saturday, and this juvenile Swainson’s Hawk was not too happy about having his picture taken. Lots of mature and immature hawks in the area: Swainson’s and Red-tails. Drive by shot at FL 400, F6.3, S 1/800, ISO 320 Highly recommend a drive out there. Any road. You will see them.

Really like this interior Frankie. Strong lines pointing to the vanishing point. I lov e how the rotten ceiling is framed by the blotchy colours. The very dark roof almost gives the feeling of a night sky peeking through. Love the wide angle view. Did you use flash ot light up the celing, or did you use shadows “sliders” in post processing.
Thanks Henri! I thought I’d post the way the seven sliders ended up after they moved automatically as I moved the main “light dark” slider above them to the left, which makes the image darker.
I recently watched a Youtube video by someone who explained that moving that slider causes the seven sliders below to move in different directions. I had been moving them individually and never used the light/dark one.
So now I only have to adjust one or two of the seven to get the exposure and saturation I want. Way faster!
