I guess I’ll only post one in the assignment space. I remembered a silhouette shot I took in London in January 2020 at the annual Canary Wharf Winter Lights Festival.
ISO 400, 37 mm, f/5.6, 1/250 s

A couple of pictures from the archive, the first is from a trip we took to Maui, of a little wildlife, and the second is a Saskatchewan sunset at Meeting Lake.

Underwater photo of a barrel sponge on a dive at the Pared Verde reef near Playa Del Carmen Mexico in November this year.
Depth was 100 feet and my light didn’t fire so the shot was underexposed.
Thought that it made an interesting silhouette.
f/2.2, 1/320 sec, ISO 125, fl 11.6 mm,

My favorite place for sunsets and silhouettes, Chain Lakes in the southern Alberta, just off Hiway 22. This is taken with my 300 lens, F5, 1/100 sec ISO 100. The sky is constantly changing, was practicing using my manual setting.

This one was taken later as we walked to the lake. Turned it to black and white as the green hill across the lake was distracting.

I read yesterday that you can create a tilt-shift effect just by blurring the strip above and below your subject. This was news to me so I had to try it

An interesting silhouette of a couple taking a cellphone photo of the sunflowers. iPhone shot with post in LRc.

Took this shot as I found the leaves on this tree fascinating, thought they looked just like butterflies. Looked up the tree later, and not surprisingly it’s called a Butterfly tree. iPhone shot with post in LRc.
