Amazing shot. Nature is not kind. Eat or be eaten seems to be the motto.
One of my favorite pictures from our field trip to reader’s Rock Garden. I used my macro lens that morning. Setting: F10, S 1/1600,ISO 1000, FL 90mm.
Good macro shot. Love the colour contrast showing the bee at its best.

This is the Red-headed woodpecker that Karen mentioned at our last meeting, which has caused some excitement at Inglewood Bird Sanctuary this past week or two. It’s been considered endangered the past years (although making a bit of a comeback recently), and it’s normal range is eastern and southeastern US. ISO1250, 600mm, f/6.3, 1/1000s.
A white-tailed deer watching me closely as I photographed it at IBS. I was fortunate to spot it in tall grasses in a shaded spot with nice back lighting, which provided beautiful rim lighting on its velvety antlers. ISO 6400, 600mm, f/8, 1/200s.
Absolutely stunning image Brian. Love the reverse silhouette look of the rim light on the antler velvet. Really, a fabulous intimate shot

Amazing shot Doug. Did you tilt this image or were the banking to come in for a landing.

Anderson Garcia Rodrigues from Brazil is a fixture in Camden Town, London, who calls himself Zombiepunk. He hangs out on the Lockside Bridge with a sign that says Help a punk get drunk, photos £1. Beside him is a can of Polish beer, Tyskie. I found his details online through image search. The locals have been trying to get rid of him for a couple of years for harassing tourists for money when they take a photo.

I won’t make it today so I should add I did not give him money! I looked at the Camden railway crossing and pretended that’s what I was taking a picture of. My daughter used to live in Camden and I’ve been accosted by these characters before and did give one a pound once.

Food delivery bikes take a break in front of the Whitgift Almshouses, founded in 1596 by Archbishop of Canterbury John Whitgift, in central Croydon near my daughter’s house. This historic landmark has provided homes for older people for 430 years. iPhone
Blue Jay having a bath. Photo from last October.
I used a slower shutter speed to create some blur in the action.
