Another shot from the Heritage Park Canada Day parade.
I cropped it tight to the Lion’s head and blurred the background a little.

Wow, great shot Fred. Nicely cropped, including just the essential bit of the crowd to give it context.

Unusual looking butterfly, taken at the Calgary Zoo. I took this image because I recognized the leaf pattern and the leading line, making this a less boring photo.

Calgary Zoo – Dorothy Harv1e Garden Rose. The sun was in the perfect location striking the rose and immediate leaves while leaving the dark soil in the shade. With a bit of post processing I got this stunning image.

Walking out of Palliser Square I noticed an interesting perspective on the Tower. The curved glass and reflections gave a nice contrast.
    Love that summer blue sky!

  10. Dwight Adams says:

These were taken while walking the dog, the first is at the park bench, with macro settings of the rotten top. While walking the other day, I saw a new bench near the clump of trees, and yes, the city removed the old bench.
