There are many ways of framing your image. The generic one is called “Framing”, which is quite broad in scope, while the other is called “Frame within a Frame” which is really a more strict subset of “Framing”. Swamp in Griffith Woods, framed by deadwood. For some reason I like this image, it has a clarity even with all it’s messyness.
I took a walk through the Silver Springs Garden today to view the mature flowers and a total explosion of colour. This picture represents a bumblebee framed by a flower. If you haven’t been there for a while, I really recommend a visit soon. Settings: Focal Length 185 mm, F 5.6, S 1/640, ISO 1000, Auto White Balance, Spot Metering. I sharpened the focus.
Wow, a beautiful example of framing
There aren’t too many Spring flowers still blooming at the Silver Springs Botanical Garden but this one caught my eye. An iris framed by leaves, looking fresh and newly blooming. Check the settings from the above flower.
