I would like to make this two week photography challenge about street photography with a motion blur component. A great video on this subject by Simon Burn can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nz-yEaYEYWk
One idea is to find a good composition and then add the motion blur component to it when you have people walking through the composition. Simon uses 1/8 sec shutter speed with a hand-held camera, while relying on the built in camera stabilization for a steady background.

My grandson and his dog racing for the floating toy on Columbia Lake, BC. After the shot my grandson said the dog beat him because she jumped straight out and he went too vertical. Picture taken 20260811.
There is a slight amt of motion blur in this image. I was trying to capture the moment but didn’t have the shutter speed up high enough. After looking at it for a while I felt the the motion added to the story.

It is a cute story, complete with the toy flying towards the “plunge” point in the lake. You can see the intensity of focus in the dog.

Nose Hill orange-peel clematis on a windy day. iPhone Live shot. Then I opened the photo and in the upper left it says Live. Click on this and choose Long Exposure from the drop down menu that appears. This is cheating IMO, but sooo much easier than getting out the ND filter and dicking around with settings on the camera.

Kid on a scooter at Bowness Park. Panned with scooter to blur background. ISO100, 120mm, f/16, 1/8s.
Car towing a U-Haul trailer crossing 80 St. bridge. Braced camera for clear background but blurred vehicle. ISO100, 44mm, f/18, 1/15s.
Sequential shot to above with only the trailer in view. Loved the sharp line of top of moving trailer with motion shown at both ends. Same settings as above.
