With the best fall colours past their prime, let’s think about macro or small scale photography of fall colour. There are so many beautiful compositions to be had in small arrangements of decaying fall leaves and general nature litter. So let’s think small (and not necessarily ultra macro)

From my trip last week to Lake O’Hara. From google: “A bonnet mushroom, genus Mycena. Sitting among a miniature subalpine forest-floor. The green carpet immediately around the mushroom is predominantly moss. The small rounded to oval leaves with reddish autumn coloration look very much like bilberry/blueberry-type plants (Vaccinium). The little upright evergreen-looking shoots could include very young conifer growth or another small-leaved alpine/subalpine evergreen.”
