Hugo, a neighbourhood dog. This image had major flaws that were fixed with a B&W overlay and using colour sliders.

Took the LRT to the stampede grounds for Aggie Days. Took this wide angle image from the train. I really like the futuristic mural juxtaposed against a remnant of the old Calgary. I thought the messy, dirty snow remnants added to the ambience.

Another shot, trying to find subjects while waiting for the bus after travelling back from aggie days. This was a shot where I used perspective crop to line these balconies in a squaire pattern.

THIS is what early spring means to me, even where it has been a couple of decades since last filling out the forms with a pencil.

Haha! Good one. My husband does ours and thank goodness he finished today so I don’t have to suffer any more!

  6. Nick says:

I know! But isn’t a big dump of snow the official harbinger of spring in Calgary?

    Another early spring tulip shot
    …no snow this time!

The actual tulips in bloom (from last year)

Interesting cloud formations taken through a dirty windshield with iPhone.

I went to the cat show the same weekend as Aggie Days to shoot cats and their people. This Bengal cat doesn’t seem to mind being manhandled by the judge.

More tulips coming up through last fall’s leaves, which almost look like I changed them to black and white. iPhone telephoto lens zoomed from 52 to 101 mm
