A beautiful memorial and well deserved tribute.

While driving through the Spray Valley, we noticed a coyote barking in the middle of the road. As we slowly approached, the coyote wondered off to the right and as we approached the spot where he was barking, we saw this lynx off to the left up at the edge of the trees. Shot at 1/640 sec, f6.3, ISO – 1000
Great shot!, how lucky can you get…
What an amazing shot Jim. How did you get him to look straight into the camera?
Wow!! Shot of a lifetime Jim! Well done!

This orca swam directly under our zodiac. Dorsal fin is approximately 6′ tall. ISO 320, f/5.6, 1/2000.
Ominous!
My daughter and I took in the Didsbury Rodeo last week, so much fun. The stands are very close to the action. I like this one of a contestant being bucked off in the junior steer riding event because of the dynamic action, and also the expressions on the cowboys’ faces cheering him on. (I know, it’s a cow, but they still call it steer riding.)
ISO 3200, 193 mm, f/16, 1/1600 sec
Not often you can look up in a tree and see a leopard give a huge yawn. Taken in Tanzania 2024. Taken with a 100-400 lens with a 1.4 x extender at f/13, 1/40 sec, ISO 500
One of my favourite picture of the moon. Taken with a 100-400 mm lens with 1.4x extender. at f/8, 1/60 sec, ISO 800
Terrific moon shot with a mysterious glow. It makes the plane look so tiny.
I also love the yawning leopard!

One of the bronco riders at the Okotoks rodeo on Sunday ISO 200 175mm f7.1 175mm
Should have gone in the “looking up” section but here it is…It is an accidental trompe-l’oiel photo. It was taken from the “Rocky Mounteneer” excursion train as it passed under the highway. I only realized it looked like a leaning bridge when I saw it on the computer at home. F/8, 1/80 sec. ISO 400 at 24 mm. Converted to B&W from colour in Light Room.
Also at the Okotoks Rodeo on Saturday. f/5.6, 1/2500 sec., ISO 400 and at 135 mm
Where to now?
