Tried another shot of the comet last night. This time a wide angle with the Calgary skyline from Silver Springs. This gives an idea of the scale of the comet. 4 sec, f/4, ISO 3200. Processed in Photoshop Camera Raw multiple sliders and denoise.
Two pictures the first is from our trip to London in 2017 at Highgate cemetery converted to b+w then into Nik analog cameras. Put it into wet-plate and played around.

Immature crow — who knew they had blue eyes?? ISO 3200, f/5, 1/800s.
More myths about crows but here is the science.
Here are some key discoveries
Iridescent: Crows’ eyes contain iridescence, giving them a mesmerizing appearance when exposed to light.
Blue Hue: Under specific lighting conditions, the eyes display a stunning blue hue, challenging the traditional notion of black eyes.
Variable Pigmentation: The color of crows’ eyes can vary based on environmental factors and age, leading to a spectrum of shades from deep blue to almost black.
Intriguing Adaptation: This revelation sheds light on the remarkable adaptations of these intelligent birds, sparking further interest in avian vision and behavior.
Thank you Bill for the explanation! You must have been a science teacher …
Here is another composite Photoshop image. I took an image from last Christmas and blended it into a Halloween background created by Tara Lesher. I had fun blending and harmonizing the colour of the original image, matching it to the background.

Beach at Brighton and Hove, U.K. last April. Converted to b/w because the colours were unsatisfactory – the pebbles are pinkish and sky was dull – and thought it looked moody.
ISO 1600, 40 mm, f/16, 1/4000 s.
Taken mid October at Glenmore
f/6.3, 1/320, iso100
Also in Glenmore park, taken with cell phone
Adam Baldwin concert at the Calgary Folk Festival Hall
ISO 6400, f5.6, 1/125s
Denoised and edited in LR.
ISO 6400 is about the highest ISO I can use with my camera and still get a decent photo.
