One of my wife’s recent paper cutting projects. Handheld with stabilizer on. 1/10 sec, f/4, auto ISO (640). To get all LED lights in full brightness and “On”, you need to reduce the shutter speed to below 1/60 second.
Playing with a Gnome theme. Generated the background in AI by asking for a “dark gloomy forest” then selecting the subject of the previous image and harmonizing the colour scheme. Experimenting with different brushes to create the “Magic Sparkle”
Two neighbours’ homes lit up and requesting donations for the food bank.
ISO 1250, f4, 1/6s, 10 mm on a 10 -18 wide angle APS-C lens set to 10 mm or 16 mm full frame equivalent. Went back several times with a tripod but I was always dealing with vehicles slowing down and the best location for me was in the roadway so this handheld version was used.
Good catch Ron. I like how the wind makes the fireworks appear more tree like with branches blowing to the right. The telephone post is nicely placed to act as the tree trunk.
Had the opportunity to do the Red Deer City light tour and this one was amazing. It only shows half the yard and doesn’t include the neighbor beside who was in competition. There was a tree in the cul-de-sac so you could not get it all in one picture (or get run over trying). This was with my cell.

Good work Henri. Both in the technique and the ideas for the composition.
Love this image – very creative!
With warm evenings and dark skies, thousands of people were out to see Zoolights at the Calgary Zoo.

Certainly meets the “festive season” criteria Paul.
