The object of this two week challenge is to take one of your images and alter it in software towards a more interesting image. You can use the standard sliders to “enhance” or use some of the artistic filters available to alter your image into something totally different. The idea is to experiment and explore the possibilities. Please include your original and keep your upload images at 1600 pixels wide or 1050 pixels high

Used the method of desaturating the image, then inverting it and then usign a bend mode called “color dodge” then applying a gaussian filter.
I made a collage of several of my butterfly photos, then applied a puzzle filter
Perhaps I’ll print it and cut the pieces for my grand daughters to play with…
I made a small chickadee watercolor , took a photo, then used filters to multiply and scale it in various layers. Finally applied a mosaic filter to the result.

Waves generated in a shallow tidal pond on a windy day on Vancouver Island. The various shapes of the interfering waves are coloured by refracted sunlight as well as by sand and seaweed on the pool bottom. The ‘arty’ version of this photo was created by enhancing the colour saturation, vibrance, shadows and highlights in Apple Photos, followed by resolution enhancement and noise reduction in Topaz Photo AI.

I went out to Mallard Point this afternoon and was surprised to see so many fisherman on the water. Didn’t look like they were reeling in any catches, so I thought that I would use a Focal Zoom to reel them in their picture. Taken in AP at FL 145 mm. Settings: F8, S1/160, Auto WB, Matrix Metering, ISO 100.
I painted a fairy door for my big spruce tree out front of my house. Turned into an “art” project using my photography “water painting filter” setting in my camera and my photography ball. Lens, 18-35, F4.5, 1/80 sec. Cropped, saturation and sharpness used on editing.
