2025-02-11 Creative Indoors

This two week challenge is about being creative with indoor photography. This could be flower arrangements (Valentine’s day), food arrangements, or a host of other creative indoor photography. There many resourced online. I used “Indoor Photography Ideas” as a Google search. Digital Camera World magazine has 10 detailed Creative Indoor Project descriptions in the current issue. It is available through the Calgary Library on their “Libby” Digital Library.

Shadow play. Fork on a string hanging from a cross bar over white Bristol board. Single light source at a distance in a darkroom. Rotated and cropped. White balance adjusted.

I noticed how milar bags reflect spot lights in multiple colours. This is a composition with a christmas ornament placed in a crevice of a milar bag.

  3. Paul Fesko says:

I was watching my daughter’s dog during the cold weather, so we tried creative photography indoors. Water on a mirror, treat to interest the dog and many takes to get one image I liked. I changed the colour of the ceiling to a blue to simulate the outdoors. I entered this one for the weekly challenge in 52frames. It made the top 52 cut.

This is a bouquet of flowers I received on Valentine’s Day. I zoomed my lens and used a slow shutter to blur the image.

Just an aside……I love Paul’s image! Great work Paul!

  5. della says:

combined a photo of a lily with an outdoor photo in photoshop and put in a blend mode divide

  6. Ron says:

This is a portion of an old business card holder from my working days. It has a gold ball at the end of a simulated steel cable. Reflection of staircase, railing and painting in the gold ball. I think the brown blob on the left is a reflection/shadow? of the camera lens/tripod. Taken with extension tubes and cable release. ISO 3200, f/16, 1 sec.

  7. Ron says:

    a closeup of the beadwork.

  10. Diana says:

Finally getting a second image submitted. I am doing some close-up photography. I used a 90 mm macro lens and a tripod which was essential. No cropping and a long shutter to provide the light 6.0 seconds at f6.3 so I could capture detail where I wanted it. Going to the widest aperture would have made too much of it soft.
